Description:

If you’ve seen Stanley Kubrick’s 1964 black comedy Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb, then this parody t-shirt will make perfect sense.  The movie is a satirical look at the nuclear scare during the Cold War.  In the film, a crazed U.S. Air Force general sends a group of B-52 bombers to unleash their nuclear payload on the Soviet Union.  He refuses to accept calls from the President and the President’s advisors as he waits for the nuclear bomb to be dropped.  When a Soviet missile damages the plane’s bomb release, in an effort to fix the release mechanism, Major T. J. “King” Kong (Slim Pickens) finds himself saddling the bomb like a rodeo cowboy.  The bomb bay doors open suddenly and he rides the bomb as it falls through the sky, waving his cowboy hat in excitement.  This Dr. Strangelove shirt parodies the movie by featuring a Dinosaur waving a cowboy hat as he rides the asteroid that leads to the extinction of his species.
